Finally Done!

Thats right! I am all done with my Christmas shopping. I know you all probably beat me to it, but thank heavens its over!! All I have left is a few little things, but everything big is all out of the way and nicely wrapped under the tree! I love this time of year, especially with all the lights and snow everywhere, and the many people who make the holidays special for me. I hope you all enjoy friends and family for the holiday season.

Update!!

So here we go a little update on the past couple weeks. Sorry that this has taken so long, but we haven't had the Internet in our new place until yesterday, so I have been accumulating photos to post! So we enjoyed the win against the cougars! We got all decked out, and went to my parents house to surprise my dad, boy was he in for it! Too bad cause his cougars lost, and I have never enjoyed such a sweet victory.

Then it was on to Thanksgiving! We enjoyed a sleepover with our buddies Chase and Katie Oborn, then it was on to the turkey bowl, where we laughed, froze to death, and were close to winning, and thanks to my brother in law Chad (for his many touch downs) we lost. haha.. But there was a pretty eventful kicker.... MaryLynn (Rands mom) returned a kick, it was pretty great!

Rand getting warmed up!

Hiking the ball to the QB Meg

Lets just say Meg chest bumped me, as you can see see ended on the ground.....

MaryLynn's play by play! She kicked the ball really far actually, we were all so proud, after all she is married to a former college football player, I am sure he taught her all he knows!

That night we had some of our niece's and nephew over for a slumber party! We watched movies ate some popcorn, laughed and finally fell asleep! That morning they woke up to waffles, some of the best I have had thanks to my hubby! Then we played for a while and took the kiddies home with a small parting gift, a snowman ornament that they made! So cute!

Next comes Halloween...

We had a great time with our friends, and family! We attended a party held by our friends Marcus and Michelle Smoot. The food was amazing, we had soup, bread sticks (green i might add) and some yummy sweets! It was really fun to be surrounded by our friends.

Earlier that day at work we all had to dress up at mice. Each department had a theme and because of some recent break ins of the infestation of mice we decided it would be funny so thus you can see the results....

More recently, we attended a beautiful wedding at Bear Lake for some close friends JD and Rachel! It was freezing cold, and we all huddled on the beach as close as we could! We are so happy for them, and love they are now apart of the family.

Rand also started his new job last week with AT&T. So far so good, he loves learning about all the technology and new advances out there. He is so cute, so of course I had to take a picture of his first day in his new outfit!

We hope all is well with everyone, and once we get the house officially set up, I will post them! Happy Holidays!

I hope you all had a great thanksgiving, filled with turkey, turkey bowls, stuffing and lots of friends and family.We are so excited to celebrate our first Christmas together, as a married couple, and in our own place! Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband! He is now the big 24!! He spent the day golfing with his buddies Chase and Taylor, and I am sure they enjoyed each others company a little too much if you know what I mean...

After a long day at work, I finally made it home to spend a little time with him. We decided that we wanted to go to dinner with our really great friends Katie and Chase Oborn, and where did Rand pick to go to eat?! Texas Road House! I dont know if any of you have been there but it is really good, I would reccomend the rolls... I think I may have eaten at least 6 or 7. After stuffing our selves with laughs, and plenty of food we hit up the Oborn's lovely abode! We of course watched the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders reality show, and Katie and I were loving life while the boys of course were hating it but being great sports. Rand had already opened all of his presents, he got mostly clothes, but ones that he wanted to support his favorite college sports team the U of U. So this weekend if you happen to see him sporting his new hat and track jacket, let him know you like it.... haha

I just want to say how grateful I am to have such a loving, caring and sweet husband. I dont know where I would be without him! He makes me laugh more than anyone I know, and honestly without being too cheesy, just makes my life a joy worth living. I cant wait to see what the future hold for us babe! I love you so much and am so glad that you were born, even though you were an accident! You are the best accident I know! I love you!

Sorry that we have been the biggest slackers in the world!! We do however have a good excuse... we are MOVING! Yes that is right people, we are moving on out, and our lives are insanely busy! I will post pictures of our new place once we get everything settled, but as for now I will try and post the latest pictures of Halloween and the rest of our adventures! We love you all!

Stretch it and Stretch it good!!!

So I was "blog stalking" and came across this hilarious video! I promise that its so worth it! This lady honestly cant be serious, you have to copy what she does while she does it... it will seriously make you pee your pants, I know Rand did....

Fletch!!!

Well, this past weekend we had an interesting Friday night that started with going to dinner with my parents (this is Rand). We had my brother Steve, my nephew Spencer, and my niece Kendall along with us. After, we watched Fletch with Steve and his kids. This was Madi's first experience with Fletch (except for me quoting it endlessly). Phrases finally made sense to her..."You using the whole fist, doc?" and "Those are three names I enjoy: Marvin, Velma, and Provo." The classic comedy of the 80's is something that we are likely never to behold again. The dry humor and quick one-liners of Chevy Chase are the staple of one of the greatest comedies of all time. I am grateful that my beautiful wife would sit through it with me and try to understand where I get some of my quirks. You can see this site for some classic quotes that will make you laugh: Fletch Quotes. I have included a clip of just one scene of this great movie merely for your enjoyment. I hope you enjoy it more than Madi did! "I charged the entire vacation on Mr. Underhill's American Express Card...you want the number?"

Colds...

So we have been hit hard with the common cold this week! Man oh man its really come down on us, first I had it, and boy did it take me down! I got the whole works, stuffy nose, congestion, runny nose, cough, headache, chills, hot flashing, sore throat, the body aches, plugged ears... then I slowly passed it on to Rand... poor boy!! So now he is suffering with the battle that I am still continuing to fight day by day, I still am not over it! So watch out and beware when you feel the sniffles coming on make sure to take all the vitamin C you can! Oh yeah and good luck!

New Cut....

Last wednesday I had scheduled an appointment to do the normal routine of cutting and coloring my hair. I went in with a few ideas in mind. First I really wanted to keep the length that I had, and second I wanted a little more bangs, and to expand on that thought, just a little bit different style. I ended up with something that I like but havent quite adjusted to them yet. I am still in that stage where you dont really know how to style them yourself... ha ha. So here is picture of the new do..

Heart Attack!!!

Rand here...I don't know how many of you out there are Utah fans, but last night gave me another reason to love Louie Sakoda. I will admit that when Oregon State scored with just over 2 minutes left to go up by eight, I was feeling a little hopeless. I was trying to make myself feel better by saying that at least Utah would still be undefeated in conference play. I don't know why I ever doubted...if any of you remember, this game reminded me of the game against Air Force way back in like 1995 when Utah was down 21-7 with like three minutes left and they came back and won. Needless to say I was very happy when Sakoda put one thru the uprights to win the game! My brother Mark who is just an avid Ute was up from Arizona to go to the game with my brother Greg. They got all they paid for with the entertainment value of that game. I hope that both Utah and BYU go undefeated til the big game on November 22! Til I write next, have a good freakin' day!

Ode to Miller Family

Okay so for those of you who don't know, we currently live in Rands sisters basement. We have loved being apart of their family. Honestly they are the greatest family, we have loved all the laughs we've had, and the laughs they have had about me either missing the trax train and I cried, or the time I showed up to work with 2 very different shoes on (one black and one brown). Looking back it was funny, and now I can just sit and laugh at those times. They have also filled Rand and mines life with some pretty funny moments, Megan and the constant funny things she says, like random things about sponge bob that she applies to real life.... we always have a pretty good laugh about it! Erinn and Cade are at the one of the greatest ages, HIGHSCHOOL! We love them! Then there is Ike... what can I say about him... he eats his own poop! what baby doesn't...pretty sure I did Ha ha. You just have to love the kid, his beautiful blue eyes and his contagious smile. Amy and Chad, they are constantly entertaining Rand and I, as well as letting us live with them and gaining some cooking experience... trust me I have needed it.. So here is to the Miller family! Thanks for all the wonderful memories and the many more to come! We are so grateful to have them not just apart of our lives, but apart of our family! I don't know where we would be with out you, more than likely we would be living on the streets...ha ha.... we love you!

**sorry to any embarrassments that i have caused, it was unintentional. We love you, thanks for everything**

King of the Castle

First off, this is Rand posting for once! I just basically wanted to show off my awesome moat that I dug at Bear Lake a few weeks ago. I spent the good part of 1 1/2 hours making this thing as deep as I could. I actually got to the point where it was deep enough that water started coming up from underneath to fill it. It was pretty cool. Don't tell Madi that I posted this...we'll see how long it takes her to find out;)

Golf...

We were lucky enough to spend the whole day at The Nationwide Tour-Utah PGA Championship last Saturday with our amazing friends Chase and Katie Oborn. Danny Summerhays and Clay Ogden, were so fun to watch!! I am not one to get into golfing, anyone can attest to that, but I have really enjoyed it more lately thanks to the hottie bum-a-lottie TIGER WOODS! ha ha. Rand really enjoyed being able to watch his old Davis Dart buddies, I think he really missed playing in that type of atmosphere. I dont blame him I think tournaments are fun no matter what sport you play. Katie and I really had so much fun! We seriously spent half the day in port-a-potty that smelt horrid!! We didnt learn our lesson the first couple times I guess, cause we just kept drinking ALOT of water. The one side of golf that I really dont like is how silent you have to be, Katie and I had a hard time being quiet through out the entire day... not going to lie it was the hardest thing ever for me!! The day was great fun, and we love hanging with our friends Katie and Chase! Thanks guys for all the fun!

** FYI those are mustashes on our faces, it was Mustash Madness I guess for all the hole in ones they had in the tournament**

Painting

I just want to announce that I love being married! Everyone just gives you things and no matter what I seem to love it! We recently got this amiore for free from a neighbor. I thought that it would be so fun to paint, considering i have never done a project like this before. I got the paint idea from my fabulous sister-in-law. She honestly loves to paint anything and everything, you all should see her cute house its seriously so fun with all the colors and ideas. This green color is actually in one of her rooms, and I just love it. So we took the plunge and decided to paint it that pretty green, even though i have no idea where we will put it. ha ha. So these are some pictures of the before and after! Just wait for all the other things we have ideas to paint!! Enjoy!

This is the before...

This is the after...

BEIJING

I dont know if many of you are really into the olypmics, but last night was so great!! I honestly love Walsh-May Tranor, they are the greatest pair in beach volleyball. The whole time they have been competeing in the olympics they have won every team in the first two sets!!! How amazing is that? They honestly are the most amazing athletes, and they more than likely wont be in the next olympics for a good reason of course to have babies!! They did say they would train them to be the furture olympians like them. ha ha. I also have loved watching Gymnastics and seeing Shawn Johnson win gold.... man I started to cry for her, it was so great!(i am in love with her), I was also so happy when Nastiya won as well in the all around, she deserved it!! I hope you all are enjoying the games, I know I am.

HUSBANDS

I thought this was really funny... nothing against Rand! ha ha. I hope you all can enjoy this little laugh!

Boyfriend 5.0

Dear Tech Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as

* Romance 9.5 and

* Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as

* NBA 5.0,

* NFL 3.0 and

* Golf 10.1.

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.

* Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

Signed,

Desperate.

DEAR DESPERATE,

First, keep in mind,

* Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while

* Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0update.

* If that application works as designed, Husband1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1.

* Please note that Beer 6. 1 is a very bad program that will download the Farting and Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.)

In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0-program .These are unsupported applications and will crashHusband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend

* Cooking 3.0 and

* Hot Lingerie 7.7.

Good Luck Babe!

LIFE...

Well so I thought I would give you all a little update on our lives, since we have been bad bloggers as of late!!
Rand is currently jobless at the moment, but is doing many little odd jobs with his buddy Chase Oborn that I am pretty sure keep them both extremely busy. They are thinking of starting their own business with each other. Are you all ready to hear what this job they came up with is??? CARPET CLEANING.... I know what you are all thinking, who in there right minds would let Chase and Rand clean their carpets?! Or even in their homes... ha ha... But let me just boost their confidence for the moment by saying these two boys are the hardest workers! They put there best into everything they do, and that just goes to show how amazing all their finished products look. In taking up this so called business of theirs they are going through Chase's uncle(Todd) who owns a flooring company to help them with getting started. So cross your fingers that it all works out... They also have recently, and by recently I mean this month, have been helping one of Chases uncles(Mark) with his sprinkling system. These boys came home everyday just dead from all their hard work! Now just to mix things up a bit they are helping Chase's other uncle(Todd) with his warehouse, and carpet tare outs. Its pretty challenging or so I heard about it from Rand last night. The poor boy had a blister on his arms from all the moving of carpet they were doing, but one thing is for sure these boys are getting HUGE MUSCLES!!! ha ha. or at least me and I am sure Katie are looking forward too!! ha ha. Oh yeah and couple things Rand is doing, he is starting with Prime America, its a financial planning company. So hopefully that will be something that will work out for him... Plus he is teaching golfing lessons, so if you or anyone you know could use some, or if you know anyone like myself who is horrible at it, just let Rand know, he is really great at giving lessons!! Matter of fact he is teaching 7 kids next week!! I know it will be so much for them, my little brother always loves going with Rand!

As for me, I am really just loving being a sugar mama! ha ha. Seriously though I have come to terms with working every day through summer, althought its been super hard!! I am currently working for an Life insurance company in down town Salt Lake. I cant really say that I am a huge fan of my job, and I am always keeping my eye out on something closer to home (Fruit Heights). So if any of you know of anything throw me a bone. ha ha. I am also currently becoming quickly obsessed with my latest workout program, the RPM (spin) class at Performmax Gym... it honestly is the best class, and its really getting me into biking, which is a surprise to me. I really never thought I would love biking like that but I happened to fall in love with yet, another excercise program!! I am loving looking at apartments, it will be nice to decorate a place of my own! I cant wait!

Finally... Lake Powell

Can I just say that I wait for this trip to come around every year... I love waking up to the sun, going for an early morning ski with my dad, wake boarding, getting a tan, boating and playing games all day long! This is honestly the family trip that I look forward to every year! This year was even better cause Rand was with me and he made the trip that much more of a blast. Honestly we laid awake at night just watching the stars, one night we even saw one enter the earths atmosphere! We also heard some pretty funny stories that the little kids told as well and the jokes the parents told us! Lets just say we were the the bunt of many of the jokes being "newly weds", but hey we handled it, it was also an anniversary for us, we had been married one month!! That is weird to think that we have been married for that long. I am excited to see what other fun things we have in store for us this year and the many to follow!

This is Taylor and Morgan, they are sisters!! They have another sister that came and her name is Bailey, she is a crazy woman!

This is cutie Ashton and her dad Trevor!!

We all hiked up to this amazing hole in the rock, but on the other side it was a shear drop off. It was really neat to really get to see gods wonderful creations at hand.

This was funny, we let the little kids hang on the boom bar, man oh man i have never laughed so hard. Check out the video!

Then Jenna decide to paint the boys toenails.... they were HOT PINK!!

Of course the boys had to try and kill themselves and do cliff jumping, this was right next to the cave.

We went into this cave and played around inside, it was really neat. One neat thing about Powell this year is the what is rising so fast, we went back a couple days later and this cave was pretty much under water.

This is our nephew Spencer, he learned how to wake board

This is my little Bro, Colter, Wake boarding

This is Ashton, isn't she a cutie?

This was Jenna and I riding behind the boat, mind you my pants and swim suit bottoms kept coming off... it was horrible

Fourth of July!!!

For the Fourth of July, we had an amazing day of parading, dining, fireworks, and fun! We had a weekend of sleepovers with the Oborn's, mixed with some laughter all along the way. A lot of that laughter came as we went to see Baby Mama at Kaysville Theater, haha! Katie, who works for KSL, had to drive the KSL Hummer through the Kaysville Parade. While Madi and Katie rode up front, Chase and I hung out in the back inside of the tinted windows (we didn't want to be seen). We ate some dinner at Firehouse that night and enjoyed the fireworks at Davis High. All in all, it was a great Independence Day and it reminded us of how blessed we are to live where we do and enjoy the blessings that we enjoy. May we all remember how lucky we are...God Bless America!
