Latest Last Minute Project

I was sitting in a training at work the other day and I was bored to death scouring the KSL classifieds. I've been keeping my eye out for a while for a bookshelf made of real wood instead of the cheap stuff that most places sell these days. I found this little guy for $20 and couldn't pass it up. So on Wednesday I went and bought some paint on a whim, went and got the bookshelf and started painting. Most of my painting has been done in the wee hours of the late night since Madison and Lula are up at Bear Lake with some of her family. I don't know that I've been to bed before 2 a.m. the whole time she's been gone due to this or Seinfeld or porch chats with my neighbor. It's taken a few more coats than I was hoping and I'm not sure if I'll have it done in time to surprise Madi when she comes home, but we're going to try! And we're also hoping that she likes the color or else this might be up for sale soon cause I'm not repainting it....

Took me an additional week to finish this project and this post. I ended up doing four coats of paint and two coats of Polycrylic to protect it. Finally got it moved into the office where it definitely brightens the room. I think it turned out great and it was a fun little project!

Grounded.....

Yep, that's right! Only 8 1/2 months old and got grounded today.
It was my last resort as a mother....
She is getting to be so naughty during the day.
I feel terrible telling her "no no" all day long.
So I simply said your grounded.... no playing with your BFF....(she wasn't home anyway...but this made me feel better somehow.)
I hate telling Miss Lu 'no'
breaks my heart, but I want her to understand.
Somethings will hurt her..... like electrical sockets and hot flat irons.
I still LOVE you more than anything in the whole world Baby girl!

Summertime Fun....

We have been able to enjoy our summer thus far. Lula especially loves being out and about, whether its running with 'ma ma', swimming with her BFF Drew, or simply playing in the grass. She is absolutely crazy for summer. I cant really say that I blame her though.

Lucky for us we have been able to do so many fun things all summer. We have gone to Cherry Hill too many times to count, had a family vacation or two at bear lake with both sides of our family, been on tons of running ventures around our home and loads more. We are grateful to have the opportunity to enjoy our summer as a family. This summer has been the most amazing since Rand and I have Lula. She keeps us super busy these days with crawling and pulling her self up to just about anything, but its a joy to watch her learn new things. We are still working on understanding what 'no no' means and waving bye bye. She just started wanting her binkie back in the night. Which is nice but also not so nice. I guess I better start thinking of stories for the "binkie fairy".  Well anyway here are some pictures and videos of our summer!

Summer time hats....

Painted toes...

Sunglasses.....

and mom's running shorts.....

And dont forget good chocolate brownie's from Uncle Chad.

Lula Jane....

Little Miss Lula and I were able to go and visit Daddy at his new job. For those of you who dont know he is now working at Zions Bank as a personal banker. We love his new schedule. It feels as though we are a normal family......finally. So Lula and I went to visit, right on Daddy's desk was a sucker.... so I thought 'sure let her have at it!'. Boy did she! (fyi these are off my phone...)

Look who got two chompers....... Boy does she know how to use them....

Family Pictures.....

Recently I successfully won a session with the amazing Ciara Richardson. Of course Mr. Sargent himself was totally not excited about getting his picture taken.....but then again he never likes it. So I made him suck it up for the best of needing to get some printed and framed for the new abode. I am in love with how they turned out... the Sargent clan will have a cute Christmas card this year! So here are a few of the ones we love... (we love majority of them, but according to Rand had to narrow it down. Go to her link on her name to see the rest. :) )
