Happy New Year!! Can you
believe that another year has come and gone?! I looked back and the things that have
happened this year have best some of the
best moments of my life. I am so grateful for the many
blessings that I have in my my life, as well as for the many family and friends that have made the last year a blast. I know that Rand and I have
alot a head of us, but
that's what makes
life exciting! Rand and I made some
New Years Resolutions, and I thought that they would be fun to share. First I thought last year I did really great at
keeping the ones that I made, and I want to expand on many of those. Last year I made the
resolution to
work out at least 5-6 days a week. I am happy to say that I
accomplished this, and want to expand on that! I really want to try to accomplish a
marathon, triathlon within this next year. I am thinking about doing a
relay marathon in April in California with some of my cousins. So hopefully I get that accomplished early in the year!
My other focus is really
studying the scriptures, not only with Rand but by my self as well. I have always love talking with Rand about the
gospel, he is such a
knowledgeable guy when it comes to that I love
picking his brain! I have really loved
learning more in depth about
Joesph Smith and his many stories. My parents recently got the book filled with his
journal entries that the church just published. I have loved researching about him and hope to be able to further my
knowledge not only with learning about him but deepening my love of the gospel as well as my testimony.
Rands goals as far as I have heard is pretty much the same. Although the
working out will be a little different for him. I think he would die if he had to run over
10 miles! He is just going to try and work out
5 days a week, and cut back on sweets as well as his addiction to
mountain dew... I
don't get why they are so
obsessed.
His other goal is more focused on our
family discussions. He really wanted to study the scriptures together, which is always fun cause we get into great
discussions. He really enjoys looking through his missionary scriptures (which have a million amazing quotes inside) and tying them into anything that we talk about.
We hope you all had a great
holiday season, and we wish you all the best in all your
endeavors for
2009!
