Obsession....

So lately I have really been getting into Interior Design and wanted to show you some of the grand ideas that I would love to have in a home one day! I love the ceilings in some, the color, the wallpaper, the simple things that make the room yours. So here you go some of my pictures that I have archived. Enjoy!

Its Official....

Its official, I have finally joined the Road biking world! I bought my bike last Saturday and I cannot tell you how excited I am to finally be able to ride it. Just in case you are wondering its a Cannondale. After looking around at various bike shops, I came to the conclusion that I need to be a bike designer. Seriously, the colors of bikes aren't the most flattering, I tried to find a pink one and had no luck, go figure. So I settled with some manly colors, but one day watch out i will some out with an all girl line! I also have come to the conclusion that getting into this sport is extremely expensive, but so worth it. I have loved matching every part of my new bike gear to each other. Now all I need is a riding partner.... any suggestions?

Cold....

So its hit... the COMMON COLD. I tried to avoid the mistake of getting it this time around and thought that I had avoided it, and yet it seemed to open the doors. So to put a damper on my running/workout schedule I have taken a day off... Yeah I do sometimes take a day, even though Rand claims otherwise. ha ha. I dearly missed my run this afternoon so I hope to get back on the road tomorrow... maybe a double what do you think?!

My Little Princess

Hey Everybody,

This is Rand. Just wanting to put up a small post and let Madi know how much she is loved by her husband. She means the world to me and I want her to know it. Even though I had to work on Valentine's Day until 6 p.m., she still was patient with me (after I convinced her to be...) and we had a fun night with dinner and a movie. She makes me smile daily and I love her for it. She also makes me grow everyday in a different way and I am grateful for it even though it isn't always easy. I'm even grateful that I can get up and help her get her lunches ready for work even though I always complain about getting out of bed:) So.....Madi, here's to you and how wonderful of a person, wife, and friend you are to me! I LOVE YOU!!!

Happy Valentines Day! I just really want to thank my wonderful husband for everything that he does for me. He honestly makes me always feel loved, and beautiful everyday, even though i deny it. He is the perfect ying to my yang, and that I have come to understand is something that is such a treasure in any situation but especially marriage. I love him and just wanted to share this with him, and anyone else who reads our blog, he is loved!! So I found some cute quotes that help illustrate this great day of LOVE!

"Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep... wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you're just as pretty without makeup on. one who is constantly reminding you of how he cares and how lucky he is to have YOU... the one who turns to his friends and says, that's her...."

" Love is as much of an object as an obsession, everybody wants it, everybody seeks it, but few ever achieve it, those who do will cherish it, be lost in it, and among all, never...never forget it."

"We were given: Two hands to hold. To legs to walk. Two eyes to see. Two ears to listen. But why only one heart? Because the other was  given to someone else for us to find."

Two...

So I thought that I would let everyone know how crazy I am. That's right I called myself a crazy person!! When I told Rand or anyone else my plan they have all said you have to be insane to do that! So to let you all know I competing in the Triathlon that I told you about a couple posts ago, as well as... I am running a Relay in good 'ole California with some of my cousins! Its going to be hard but I think I can do it. I have been training for both really hard as of late thinking that I can get a head start and get my butt in the swimming pool (since that is my weakest event in the tri) and running pretty much everyday if not doing both as often as possible. It will be alot of fun having alot of family around for the relay, that will help with the motivation side I think. As for the tri I think Katie and I keep each other going! I am really excited and hope that I can accomplish all that I want to this year. So if you have and tips or tricks for me leave a comment so I can be better prepared, we all know its better to be over prepared than under!

Happy new year!!

Happy New Year!! Can you believe that another year has come and gone?! I looked back and the things that have happened this year have best some of the best moments of my life. I am so grateful for the many blessings that I have in my my life, as well as for the many family and friends that have made the last year a blast. I know that Rand and I have alot a head of us, but that's what makes life exciting!

Rand and I made some New Years Resolutions, and I thought that they would be fun to share. First I thought last year I did really great at keeping the ones that I made, and I want to expand on many of those. Last year I made the resolution to work out at least 5-6 days a week. I am happy to say that I accomplished this, and want to expand on that! I really want to try to accomplish a marathon, triathlon within this next year. I am thinking about doing a relay marathon in April in California with some of my cousins. So hopefully I get that accomplished early in the year!

My other focus is really studying the scriptures, not only with Rand but by my self as well. I have always love talking with Rand about the gospel, he is such a knowledgeable guy when it comes to that I love picking his brain! I have really loved learning more in depth about Joesph Smith and his many stories. My parents recently got the book filled with his journal entries that the church just published. I have loved researching about him and hope to be able to further my knowledge not only with learning about him but deepening my love of the gospel as well as my testimony.

Rands goals as far as I have heard is pretty much the same. Although the working out will be a little different for him. I think he would die if he had to run over 10 miles! He is just going to try and work out 5 days a week, and cut back on sweets as well as his addiction to mountain dew... I don't get why they are so obsessed.

His other goal is more focused on our family discussions. He really wanted to study the scriptures together, which is always fun cause we get into great discussions. He really enjoys looking through his missionary scriptures (which have a million amazing quotes inside) and tying them into anything that we talk about.

We hope you all had a great holiday season, and we wish you all the best in all your endeavors for 2009!

Thats right! I am all done with my Christmas shopping. I know you all probably beat me to it, but thank heavens its over!! All I have left is a few little things, but everything big is all out of the way and nicely wrapped under the tree! I love this time of year, especially with all the lights and snow everywhere, and the many people who make the holidays special for me. I hope you all enjoy friends and family for the holiday season.

Update!!

So here we go a little update on the past couple weeks. Sorry that this has taken so long, but we haven't had the Internet in our new place until yesterday, so I have been accumulating photos to post! So we enjoyed the win against the cougars! We got all decked out, and went to my parents house to surprise my dad, boy was he in for it! Too bad cause his cougars lost, and I have never enjoyed such a sweet victory.

Then it was on to Thanksgiving! We enjoyed a sleepover with our buddies Chase and Katie Oborn, then it was on to the turkey bowl, where we laughed, froze to death, and were close to winning, and thanks to my brother in law Chad (for his many touch downs) we lost. haha.. But there was a pretty eventful kicker.... MaryLynn (Rands mom) returned a kick, it was pretty great!

Rand getting warmed up!

Hiking the ball to the QB Meg

Lets just say Meg chest bumped me, as you can see see ended on the ground.....

MaryLynn's play by play! She kicked the ball really far actually, we were all so proud, after all she is married to a former college football player, I am sure he taught her all he knows!

That night we had some of our niece's and nephew over for a slumber party! We watched movies ate some popcorn, laughed and finally fell asleep! That morning they woke up to waffles, some of the best I have had thanks to my hubby! Then we played for a while and took the kiddies home with a small parting gift, a snowman ornament that they made! So cute!

Next comes Halloween...

We had a great time with our friends, and family! We attended a party held by our friends Marcus and Michelle Smoot. The food was amazing, we had soup, bread sticks (green i might add) and some yummy sweets! It was really fun to be surrounded by our friends.

Earlier that day at work we all had to dress up at mice. Each department had a theme and because of some recent break ins of the infestation of mice we decided it would be funny so thus you can see the results....

More recently, we attended a beautiful wedding at Bear Lake for some close friends JD and Rachel! It was freezing cold, and we all huddled on the beach as close as we could! We are so happy for them, and love they are now apart of the family.

Rand also started his new job last week with AT&T. So far so good, he loves learning about all the technology and new advances out there. He is so cute, so of course I had to take a picture of his first day in his new outfit!

We hope all is well with everyone, and once we get the house officially set up, I will post them! Happy Holidays!
